Preparatory Circus Courses - CCCC
Specially designed three-month Preparatory Courses for circus students/artists who wish to apply for higher circus education programs, or who simply want to focus on and improve their physical vocabulary and technical skills within their discipline.
The courses are structured as a full-time program over three months. The first course will run from January–March and the second course will run from April–June. Participants from the first course will have the option to extend their participation into the second course period, creating a six month combined course.
Course Structure
- 5 days a week, Monday - Friday from 9 - 16
- Half days with optional “open” training 2x a week to allow for recovery, personal exploration and life admin.
The course will be a combination of training in foundational elements, such as floor acrobatics, strength, stretching, and trampoline, and an intensive practice in your chosen circus discipline, in dialogue with CCCC about what’s possible.
Participants will also receive individual coaching and guidance regarding applications to higher circus educations – gaining clarity and insight into which schools or universities best match their interests and artistic ambitions. You will also have the opportunity to prepare for entrance auditions and develop your application material.
At CCCC, we collaborate with a wide network of experienced circus teachers, professional artists, and directors. During the preparatory course, there will also be opportunities to participate in short workshops, masterclasses, and sessions with international artists and facilitators.
Foundational elements included in the course (full list): Floor Acrobatics, Trampoline, Group Acrobatics, Movement, Conditioning, Handstands, Flexibility, Theory & Discussion, Individual Discipline.
Practicalities:
Price (3 months): DKK 5,000 (Deposit: DKK 1,000 upon registration)
Course Period I: January 7 – March 27 2026 (excluding week 7)
Course Period II: April 7 – June 19, 2026
Admissions: Rolling admission as long as we have availability.
